My supercharger Dyno Results
Hello all smile.gif It's been awhile since I have posted over here sad.gif For those that remember me I just wanted to give an update on the progress I've made with my Tibby smile.gif
I updated my Sig so you can see what I have done so far.
Here is a link to the dyno graph for my car (Shadowgates is there too) http://www.newtiburon.com/yabbse/index.php...;threadid=12789
My stock clutch is holding out fine so far, but I have smoked it once or twice during very aggressive driving soooooo......I have ordered a performance stage 2 clutch. Also since I'm going to have my tranny apart I'm also putting in a lightweight aluminum flywheel and a Phantom Grip LSD.
Here is a link to the company that I got the clutch and flywheel from http://specclutch.com/
I received the clutch last Sat and it is awsome. it is a solid disk (no sprung hub) and has kevlar material lining it. I will be getting the flywheel at the end of the week as weel as the Phantom Grip and polyurethane motor mounts. Hopefully I will have everything installed in the next couple weeks
I noticed in the transmission/clutch/shifter forum there is a pretty heated debate over the effectivness of the Phantom Grip LSD. When I get mine installed and break in the new clutch and flywheel I will be able to do some agressive driving. I will post my thoughts and opinions on the Phantom Grip then smile.gif And since my car is making some decent power it should be a pretty good test to the effectivness of the phantom Grip.
Well I guess that's all for now. Hope you all enjoy the links smile.gif

an unsprung clutch is going to be hell. It will take some serious getting used to. DO NOT dump an unsprung clutch. It will transfer SERIOUS loads to the tranny/gears/differental. That goes double for the a Diff. with the phantom grip in it.
Hyundai is making a change to the V6 clutches. They realize now that they made them too soft. The 2004's will have a stiffer/stronger clutch. As soon as the part is available, I will notify folks.

Thanks man smile.gif The car is sooooo nice to drive I love it so far.
I don't understand your question about how much am I running. Do you mean how much boost, HP, engine compression ? I have a 2003 V6 6-speed Tibby. The Alpine intercooled supercharger kit doesn't come with a headspacer for this application, so as such I am running stock engine compression. Steve at Alpine said that this kit puts out approx 4.5 LBS of boost. Hope I answered your question smile.gif

Stock hyundai v6 flywheel is a floating type flywheel. So the stock clutch is unsprung.an unsprung clutch is going to be hell. It will take some serious getting used to. But if hes changing to a lighten flywheel. I am sure its a standard flywheel and not a floating type one.
So what you said still goes.
Why dont you try the Sentra LSD if you have the 6spd.
It suppose to fit and would work alot better then a phantom grip
