Re: Air conditioning problem
I have a 97 Tib FX and plan on doing quite a bit of work to it. One of my big projects is turbo charging it. I plan on doing it custom rather than just buying a kit so any advise that anyone may have for me would be greatly appreciated. I'll be buying piece by piece due to money but I'll need to know exactly what I'll need what mods I'll need to do and anything else that goes along with it. Some tips on where to shop would be sweet to. Thanks.

Re: Another AC Problem
My goals arent too extreme. For one I have the only first gen tib with anything done to it around where I live. My time goals are to get into the low 12's or high 11's. Nothing too crazy. As for looks eventually I'll be putting a kit on and I'll be getting the ww shark high wing. Car color is that deep purple int. black but will be accented in red. Mainly I'm looking for what parts I'll need to buy in order to turbo the car. Thanks again.

Re: What tires should I get?
uuh hate to break it to you but low 12's, high 11's is a crazy goal for the beta. You'd need a bigass turbo, FMIC, some kind of stand alone fuel management, LSD, new rods, new pistons, that air ram intake, better CV axles, 660cc injectors, some kind of headwork, new cams..... there arent make hyundais in the states that can do those kinds of times and put down that kind of power. but hey if you have about $10,000 to dump into your car, more power to ya wink1.gif

Re: Kudos to Kspec
What would be a more realistic goal as for times? Because lets face it who really has like 10,000 bucks to just drop into their car. Although we would all love to it just dosen't happen too often.

Re: Short Shifter
With stock internals and something like an alpine kit you'll get low 14's but wont break 13's. But if you redo the internals which adds about $2k more then you could get 13's.

Re: My project.
I'm hoping to do a custom turbo kit not just buy one all together. That's where I come into needing to know what components I'll need. Eventually it'll become a show car so whatever I can get out of it for times will be fine with me.

FS or Trade - Stock Springs/Dampers and Brake Lines
Get a book called Maximum Boost. It will explain everything and let you know what you need. Also check out www.howstuffworks.com.
From what I have read, to go with low boost, you will need a turbo, manifold, wastegate (which will be built into either the turbo or the manifold), piping, intercooler, strongly reccomend a blow off valve, ...
I am sure that I am missing something but you should be able to figure everything out with enough research.
