i'm thinking of buying an LSD for car.
Has anyone installed it on their turbocharged vehicle.
On a day to day driving on the streets, where is the improvement?
top and low end HP changes.

The specs says acceleration and quotes that you reduce your quartermile speeds in seconds.

better off the line traction,
better grip when accelerating and getting out of a turn

basicly once you have one you'll ask yourself why you didn't install one earlier ;-)

You won't regret it, it is worth every penny. I don't have one for the tib, but I've driven (mountain driving) a Mazaspeed Protege (turbo) with one and damn.... it is FAST in the corners.

I love my Quaife! Not only does it increase traction for launches and in the corners, but it also eliminates alot of torque steer as well! fing02.gif

I also got one!!

Waiting for it to be shipped by a dear friend from this site wink1.gif

Will sure let you know once I get and install it!

here is the info on Quaifes site:
http://www.quaife.co.uk/products/atbdifferentials.htm

AS for where to get, buy a quaife for a Mistsubishi eclipse turbo\na. The front Differential.
They sell it off the shelf.

All you need is as listed on this sale, where I got mine, to work on our car:

This auction is for a brand new Quaife helical gear torque biasing differential included are OEM Hyundai LSD bearings and the new speedometer drive gear (required for operation of speedo. with this unit). It was originally purchased for 97- 01 Hyundai Tiburon 4cyl 5spd. However, this differential has several applications according to Quaife's website the Quaife part # is QDH-8B1 22424 please refer to the Quaife website for your specific application. This differential is also used in 90-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse front differential for AWD or FWD turbo and NA models. Quaife informed me they will honor the lifetime warranty in the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect or equipment failure.

Best part over the other great LSD for our car, the KAAZ, is that you need ZERO maintanence with this unit. no special oil changes.
Simply PLUG, PLAY and ENJOY.
