my tuner is installing the megasquirt system in my 98 2.0 tiburon. up until this point it has been alittle rocky with the system not supporting my coils so i had to buy an msd box. now above 5000 rpms (right around 5500 to 5800) it breaks up. the ignition timing jumps all over the place. any ideas? a new stock crank sensor was put in. a gm crank sensor was put in. 2 different trigger wheels were put in. and all the combinations were tried. my tuner is leaving the shop hes at in about a week so basically im really pissed.

Get some specs on your MS system you are using, then post it here.

My MS works great, and I can get Ray, the builder, to look at your issues probably.

No prob.

First thing is first, go to the KFX Performance subforums here, and read EVERYTHING about the MS posted in there. It might have some info to help you out.

There are other MS threads too.

If you can't find a solution you may be able to contact Enthalpy on this forum via PM's.

He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to engine tuning and standalone setup.

^^LOL, Damon's great. He'll probably help you out. But know this, he is not impressed with MS. Infact, when I brought it up as an option, you should have seen his face!

Probably because it's relatively cheap and easy to tune.

LOL

A tuner's nightmare.

Everyone I've talked to about the Megasquirt loves them.
