Can I add a manual boost controller on my internally gated turbo? I believe the turbo is set at ~7 pounds, I'd like to go to 4-5. I was thinking you could add the controller in the vacuum line thats on internally gated turbo's, but I have no clue.

yup, just T it on the line going to the wastegate just like on a external. no difference. and works the same.

but its not gonna go lower then the wastegate is set at. it can just bleed off to gain additional boost.

You can get a different actuator which opens the flapper at a specific point.

or just tune the car for 7psi... not like it will hurt the car.. or just not push WOT and don't boost over 4-5 psi..

you could get a diff. actuator, or adjust yours if possible.

Different actuator or just live with it. You have a mitsu turbo right? You will be fine with 7 pounds.

Its all in the tuning. 7psi should be no problem at all.

You can adjust the length of the actuator arm and try to lower the boost if you're adamant about it.
