for those of you that have made your own, where did you pick up the piece of pipe to use for the idle air bypass. I'm can't seem to find a place that sells thin walled pipe that small. (also need a piece for the dump into the oil pan)

the tb is 3" right? my pipes are 2.5 so I'll need to pick up a silicone adapter.

Isn't 2.5" charge piping pretty big? I thought going for around 2" would make for less lag.

Depends on what Cow wants to boost to.

I never made my own, but have you checked major companies like Jegs, etc. They carry all sorts of piping.

thats where i was looking tibby01, must be searching for the wrong thing. I tried thin walled pipe, pipe, 1" pipe.

edit: oz, I went with 2.5" cause jon and ham said so!

oh and faith I've got a injen knockoff with the elbow but as ham said 3" is pretty big. plus I won't need the pipe on the inside of the elbow so making my own would look/be the best in my opinion.

Ye, I run 2.5 on the GSX, if your running any decent number 2.5 will be fine. Forget what PSI you said you wanted to run, but I stand by my word of whatever I said five months or ago or however long ago it was.

You could always visit your local exhaust shop and see if they have some thin stuff lying around.

yeah i searched summit some more, still nothing, maybe i aught to give them at call.

ham that exhaust shop idea is pretty good, i got a 6 ft piece of 2.5" for 10 bucks down the street last year, i not sure they'd stock anything that small but it's worth a shot.

Yea, I'm running 2.5" and never had problems with lag. I was running 10psi.
The little pipe I actually got from work at a jobsite. It's 3/4" steel conduit. Just a worthless scrap piece that happened to be worth something to me. fing02.gif

All the other 2.5" tubes I got from JCWhitney. Cost about $125+/-
