OK so last friday I was planning on putting 1.8L pistons and rods to lower my compression in a j220, and then boost at 8 psi. Everything went smooth, but was very time consuming. Around 5 am on last Saturday morning it was out the garage and running but since the pistons were used the rings were fried. I was then cursing myself that I didnt get new rings. I was able to get a few boost pulls and noticed that it was spiking. I was getting 8psi to 12psi constant and one spike of 15psi. So Sunday afternoon I pulled the j220 and cleaned up my tranny. Monday I went to the local junk yard and with a little good luck found an XD20 with 30k miles and got that back to the house Monday night. Tuesday started prepping the motor. The XD has the same sensors but different prongs, so I had to switch out ALL sensors. Yesterday I installed the clutch and tranny from the J220 to the XD. Last night... success the motor turned over and is running fine. Then went to take it on a test drive and noticed that the clutch wouldn't go all the way in after we bled the slave. Then called it a night. Talked to a few mechanics and all said that the same thing has happened to them once upon a time, and that when I was reinstalling the tranny that the throw out bearing got cocked sideways. So tomorrow I plan on taking the tranny back off and fixing the stupid little problem then reinstalling the kit. I also went and invested in a manual boost controller to help prevent spiking.

The kit:
turbonetics t3/t04e 50 trim
raptor bov
spearco intercooler
aem fpr
walbro 255lph
deltagate 38mm wastegate with custom O2 dump
eip intercooler piping
330 cc injectors
cast manifold
emanage

how do you have it set up? dual fuel rails?

you got same turbo as me lol.. same fuel pump and fpr.. almost samed injectore (assuming dual rails) i also have a 38 mm gate.. if you have a dual fuel rail. i can send you some maps for the emanage..

Naw man single rail. It is working ok I still gotta get it tuned. The only tuning I have is the injector correction.

it's times like these that keep me from any boost and my car is a dd. sounds like a lot of work but at the same time a lot of fun! good luck with the clutch.

your going to need to go dual rail as soon as you push a higher boost pressure, that correction for the injectors isnt going to work for very long i dont think..

how did you get the injector harness to work on your car? you are using the injector map right? or do you even have the support tool. if you got the injector map working, please let me know how, because i couldnt get mine to work when i had bigger injectors in my stock rail..

if you do have the injector map working, PLEASE let me know how you wired it up. this would help me a ton. i wanna get a little bit bigger injectors in my stock rail, just to ensure a more rich condition.

are you just using the knobs on the front of the emanage?

Well you see I'm not very good with electronics, so my buddy hooked up the e manage. So I have no idea. I have the support tool, but he was very familar with it all and zipped through it and basically just said your going to run rich until you get it tuned. Which I am running pretty rich when we got the boost pulls on Saturday my friends that were following said I had about a 4 foot flame coming out of the exhaust. I also noticed that I was getting alot of unburnt fuel (black) coming out until I set the fuel pressure back to 50 psi. I'm sorry man when I talk to that again I'll ask him.
