Yea, loL If your going for lower comp. atleast go the semi decent route, it will cost you about the same and you will run around the same comp. Get 1.8l rods and pistons. If you with the Decomp plate, you have 2 gaskets and two weak spots...

These will work just fine. Both the decomp gasket and 1.8L setup screw up your quench area and are not the best way to do things, but both work fine. Be sure to get new head bolts and torque them properly otherwise it WILL leak.

why are you even lowering your compression? i think if i was to get to a point where i needed to lower compression, i'd get a custom one made (for around 150-200$) to lower it to about 9.5:1 or so. i wouldn't want to go that low unless i was building a race car. (8:1)

The stock bottom end can easily handle triple the stock power output. Unless you are planning on building something that is barely streetable, I'm with Socks on this: 8:1 is too low.

Why i love to have Zero power while driving through town and have to plant my foot to the ground and wait till 5k in the RPM range to make power cause it kicks like a f*cking donkey, and i love to look and seem like a ricer spinning tires through town light to light cause if i dont put my foot to the floor, then it is like driving a Geo Metro and i look like a Ricer!!! Damn...Hmmm.. OR NOT!!!
