Hey guys, as some of you know I just put a turbo system in recently. Anyway, I've been doing a lot of tuning and I have the fuel trims around 0% and good afr in boost. The car has been running like this for quite some time and everything has been going good besides one little thing. If I rev the car real high or push the car pretty hard while driving, the next time I come to a stop, the car will stutter for a few seconds and then shut off. Any suggestions as to why? Oh, and if it helps, my blitz boost controller also has a vacuum/boost gauge that reads the vacuum/pressure in the intake plenum. Right before the car shuts off the vacuum goes from around -54cmHg to around -36cmHg and continues to shut off from there.
Thanks guys

check if there's any vacuum leak.

Also check your TPS.

This may or may not help, but the car will cut fuel when reved to 4000RPM after the throttle is released. It's supposed to pick up again sooner then what you're describing. It could have to do with your IAC. Did you try cleaning it?

I doubt that its my tps, because it only does it when it's pushed hard. I'm gonna check for vacuum leaks tomorrow after school.

My maf is inbetween turbo and filter and it's facing the right way.

BOv is mounted with two bolts and a gasket.

Thanks guys

I think he meant if the BOV is recirculating back into the intake before the filter, or if it was venting to atmosphere? amirite?

Join the club, sounds like my issue... cept mine does it even earlier.

If you let the car sit at 1000rpm like coasting in 5th gear after you push it to 4000rpm+ for a while (1o seconds) does it still stutter and turn off?

If so, when I figure out what it is, I'll let you know. lmao.gif

It opens into the atomsphere.

Does your fuel computer or management device have anti stall function when you vent your BOV to atmosphere?

If you don't, it is the cause of all that stall problem.

You need to recirculate your air before your MAF. If the computer thinks you're getting 50 Gallons of air/minute, because that's the ammount passing your MAF, it will add that much fuel. The BOV should be recirculated in a manner so that the air that passes the turbo gets re-routed back into the input of the turbo so that new air is not passing the MAF to compensate for the blow off.

The computer is saying "we might be at closed throttle, but we're still getting 30 GPM, so we need a bunch more fuel". So the computer adds too much fuel until your turbo spins down to a level that dosn't activate the BOV.

The soloution to the problem is to get a MAP adapter for your MAF sensor. My buddy has an eclipse we're turboing and is currently looking at that soloution to get the cool "sssshhhHHHHH-T-hhhhhhhh" sound.
