How High Do You Rev?
Just wondering how high you rev your engines to and what mods you have.
Anyone know how much is a safe RPM on a Stock Head with Cast pistons?
I am reving to 6700 RPMS and would like to be able to shift at 7000 because the car just wants to pull way beyond it but I Don't to rev to 7000 if its going to mean trouble.

I don't think it's safe to rev that high personally. The higher you rev the faster you wear out your parts.
I'd be careful, you're boosted so of course you're gonna wanna push it that much harder at high RPM's. maybe (gets ready to run) turn down the boost a little so you can get the most out of the turbo. (ducks, and runs, is around the corner before Gary can start his b!tch slap)

Here in Korea, a lot of us (myself and Madjohn included) set our rev limiters to 7200 rpm. The stock beta can rev reliably all the way to 8000 rpm for short periods of time. 6800 is safe without ECU tuning
If its stock keep your RL stock...But with my turbo I let mine run all the way to 7500. It can go to 8 but I stopped it at 7.5. If Im at the track Ill kick up my boost and let it run to 8 but that is ONLY at the track.

^^^Yes you can set it to whatever you want.
If you don't want to rev it that high all the time, then just don't floor it. dunno.gif

Where are our rev limiters? I have an automatic and at WOT in 1st, I will bounce off the rev limiter it seems somewhere around 6,700 (my tranny has problems, hopefully it's just the kickdown switch)

Ill be turboing my car this winter, but will only be running low (~8psi) boost. I wont have any piggy back or tuning system so is there still a way I could move the RL? Would it be safe without any specific tune? Thanks
