Hi everyone





Can someone explain to me what holset turbos are and why alot of people think they are superior to any other types of turbos? Ive done some research on google and Im not finding a real clear explanation of them or why people think they are better. Thanks for your help.

They are cheap, durable and can make A LOT of power. That's about it.

Rebuilt it in my kitchen for 45 bux



I just figure if it can hold up to the egt of a diesel while putting out 22 psi on it stock, my little 4 banger should hold up alright (in theory)

Agreed. Although, most of them are seriously outdated in design. Some of the newer ones have variable geometry.

You'll also have a hard time matching one to your needs since they have large hotsides.
