Default Heres a ? for the experts.

I bought a vacuum/pressure tester kit cost 20 bucks. Now it can test vacum on various parts of the motor. Can also test psi coming from your fuel pump. Could I test my psi coming from the S/C with it or will it not read the same?

the base fuel settings for the SC should be more or less the same as stock (43psi +/- 2psi) But under boost, the fuel pressure regulator that alpine installed should raise the fuel pressure. I'm not sure what FPR they installed on the SC, but for the Turbo, it is a 1.7:1 RRFPR.

Would it read the boost coming fom the S/C as far as the amount of boost I am running? Because what I measured was 4 psi at 3-6k. That would defiantly explain the lack of horse power this should be putting out. Or is measuring liquid pressure differant than air pressure.

As far as the RRFPR that Greg put in I think he dialed it down just tad but not positive. That helped the car from running really rich at at idle. The FPR that that comes with the kit was making the car run really rich at idle.

Per alpine, they said they installed a smaller pulley on your SC. They claimed 5 or 5.5 PSI out of your modified setup. If you are only reading 4psi...that was the base PSI setup of the kit. Strange....

You could always get a boost/vacuum gauge and see how accurate your other gauge is...see if they jive.

The only way for you to tell what your fuel pressure is is to tap into the fuel line before the FPR. Then record a reading at idle, and then record a second reading at full boost.

technically, air is a liquid wink it's governed by the same laws.

Yea guess I will have to shell out some dough for a guage I guess. Found one for like 60 bucks. Found this one but it won't match my others. Thanks turbulence for the anwser on that question. Wasn't quite sure.
The guage I have right now will messure up to 10 pounds of pressure that be enough to read what the stock pump is pushing but I think the FPR is pushing more than 10psi right?
