Default help!! turbo kit availability...

from what everyone is telling us on the forum we should avoid alpine super/turbochargers at all costs. i have tried to contact them many times with no response. has anyone even come in contact with them lately. also, what other kinds of mods should i be looking to do when i find the right kit? i know it would be in my best interest to get new pistons/rings, but what is the verdict on replacing con rods? is it necessary for the upgrade or not? since i have the motor apart i should do it right? im having a tough time finding a complete bolt on kit. i am pretty good with mechanical stuff and my dad is as well, but neither of us have any experience with turbo kits or installing them. i would much rather have a turbo than a supercharger. is there anywhere i can buy a book or something that covers boost pressure, boost settings and adjustmentsand other similar topics? also is there really gonna be a gain if i replace the cams with 1.8 ones or should i leave mine as they are? thanks in advance for any help or tips. the car is a 2001 elantra gls.
thanks
cj

SR is actually going to have several kits.

ALL of the kits are developed by SR!

No ETA on any of them that I know of. I would say 3 months at the earliest if everything goes perfect (which it never does), and November/December at the latest.
