1997-2001 all use the Beta I motor.... in 1.8L and 2.0L. The differences lie in the size of the motor.

If they are both 2.0L or 1.8L then they will match up.

all 97-01 heads (1.8 or 2.0) are the same.

^^ Ty, I wasn't sure if 1.8 and 2.0 were exactly the same so I didn't want to say it.

1.8L cam is set up differently so it makes slightly more top-end power. Nothing crazy, but a bit of a difference.

And no, the stock ECU is able to adjust for something that small on its own.

If you look at the head, you will find it labeled "1.8, 2.0" (two numbers). Heads are the same.

You can search for 1.8 cam on this site, you'll find a lot of information about it.
