Is it strictly a cosmetic thing or are hard lines better to use for the oil return?

 

Doesn't matter either way. I'd rather use a hard line than a POS rubber hose with 2 clamps on each end. I run SS flex line with -10AN fittings on both ends. Very easy to work with and a hardline wouldn't work with my clearences.
