Default Re: AEM CAI starting at $20

I wouldn't beleive this myself unless I was there, but I was over at a friends house tonight helping him do some body work to his Eclipse, and he pretty much gave me a Turbo!!!

Here is the deal, he has some red and black racing seats that I have had my eyes on for a while. He wants to give me the turbo, manifold, and seats for $250. How can I pass this up?

I already have the turbo and manifold, but I am trying to figure things out right as I have been doing research but now that I actually have a turbo, I am feeling like a noob again.

This is a brand new stock turbo from a gen 1 Eclipse and a stock gen 1 Eclipse manifold. We held the parts in place tonight and it looks like this will work. The manifold looks like it will fit exactly and I have already thought out how to run the piping, but does anyone here know for sure if this will work?

I know pretty much all the other parts that I will need, but I am just thinking that this manifold will bolt up. If not, I may need to contact Tim about making a manifold that will work. Does anyone else have a stock gen 1 Eclipse turbo in there tiby?

I will soon.

As for the manifold I don't think it'll fit. Dweet tried it a little bit ago with no luck. Check with Tim but I think that he even said that it wouldn't fit.

On the other had Dweet is selling his log style manifold for a DSM 14b turbo, I took the turbo but decided to get a Maintec Manifold instead.

Thanks, I sent a PM to Dweet.

I am thinking that I am going to pass on the manifold and seats and get the turbo in exchange for some light work on his Eclipse. What a sweet deal!!!

I will check into this further on my own, but does anyone have any information or know where I can get information on the stock Gen 1 turbo. I am going to start looking at DSMtuner.com, but I don't even know what these turbos are called.

Isnt the stock gen 1 turbo viturally the same as the T15 that comes with the Alpine kit?

I am not sure but if it is, I hope I can get some more power out of it then I have seen with the alpine kit. I have heard that the turbo is capable of 17 pounds.

So, this is a 14b turbo?

Tim, would you have a manifold that will work? Also, I may be interested in buying some stuff from you for my custom project (manifold, oil lines, and possibly the piping).

I am thinking that this will be a mid-summer project since I am already wraped up in some rims and a body kit at the moment.
