Just a quick note, that oil pan will ONLY fit the Beta II's, and will ONLY fit in the Gen3 Tiby or 2001+ elantra.

The engine support cross member in the older frame/engine compartment prevents that oilpan from working.

Isn't the kit supposed to come with pistons and rods too?? And I also thought it was for the 1.8l BETA...??

and y would this kit be soo expensive in US$ when most of the GReddy kits for Honda, etc... are about 3gs+ ....

I don't think so. The Greddy kit comes with cast pistons, exhaust temp and boost sensor and gauges. This maybe Road and Speed's turbo kit. The picture looks familar but it's hard to tell for sure.

Bolt on or semi bolt on turbos are the rage lately. Mainly because the SAM 2000 ECU reprograming, as crude as it is, is actually useable.

Yup. The Beta1's have a smooth, sheet metal oil pan. usually painted black. The beta2's have that oil pan. It is cast Aluminum, and it is much LONGER and thicker at the Transmission end.

This is what the beta1 engine oil pan looks like.
