Greddy Td04 System
#1
A friend of mine is selling his turbo set up for his civic, and is willing to give me a good deal on all the parts. For $600, he is selling a Greddy TD04 turbo (mounts to a manifold like a T3), intercooler, blitz blowoff valve, turbo timer, boost controller, pipes, and oil lines. I realize that I will probably not be able to use the pipes, but is this kit worth my time? Also, I know I will still need to buy a turbo manifold, new pipes and a boost gauge, but what else am I going to need? Bigger injectors, fuel pump, exhaust? I am only planning on running at 4 psi of boost, maybe pushing it to 6 or 8 for track use. I am really leaning towards pick this up, but want to make sure that I am not going to be wasting my time.

4 psi, that would be a waste of time, you can run much more than that safely espically with a intercooler, 4 psi I am not sure if you need bigger injectors but a feul computer stuff is always good so you can tune your feul such as a standalone

I would say all that is worth $600. The other parts can be found cheap. And definately go above 4psi.

Thanks for the info guys. 2 last things. First, how much boost can I run with a stock fuel pump and stock injectors, and how much boost could I run with bigger injectors and upgraded fuel pump? Second, what standalone would you guys recommend? I was thinking about the Haltech, but would that mess with the emissions readings (I live in NY)?

With my SAFC2 and OEM injectors & fuel pump... I was boosting 8PSI.....
For a Standalone... check a post of a few days back.... there will be a GB for a Standalone....

I was leaning towards Apexi's SAFC-ii, but how hard are they to tune on your own?
Lastly, I just want to thank everyone that posted on this giving me the information I was after. I know now for sure that I will be taking advantage of this deal and get boosting over the next little while laugh.gif
