Greddy Emanage Vs. Smt-6

well.. ill tell you right now, that the shop isn't gonna really have a clue what they would need to do to safely run 300hp. they will either do a build based on some other 4 cylinder, or they will over-build it and you will end up spending a TON of money.
are you wanting 300WHP? or 300BHP. without opening up the motor (depending on mileage, compression, etc) you could easily run 300BHP daily.
for 300whp, i would recommend a set of forged pistons, and while your add it, misewell have the rods cleaned up and use ARP rod bolts.
and if you are planning on using a GT25 turbo, i really hope you arne't expecting 300WHP. a i don't even think with a t3 super 60 that you could hit 300whp. you might be able to with the super 60, but you would be pushing like 20+ psi.

maybe your talking about gt2540?? because I think a gt25r (also gt2554r) turbo is rated at 250hp or so, so I am assuming a gt25 has a lower rating.... i'm not sure about exact figures but from what I know 300 cannot reached with a plain gt25...
get something like a gt2540r, as our 4G63 had a quite good powerband with this before...
may I ask, how much is the gt25 going to cost you? smile.gif

well i dont have a break down on everything yet... its just all going to be incorporated into the price of the whole turbo setup and install... im curious... if im running 300ish HP do i need internal work? does anyone have experience with this power on their tib??

dude its proven with a good tune that you dont have to mess with internals...
tdonnell, even though he has not dyno his tib...on the butt dyno he is about 300-350, and he has not mess with the pistons or rods...just a built head...
there are even more then that has not mess with internals...that question has been asked so much

lol... ya i thought i heard it a couple times on here but everytime i talk about my car to my tuner buddys here they call b/s on that.. they say im gonna f*** my motor if i dont do internal work but i only listen to the proven facts and experience! my goal here is to build a 12 second tib. but i know with my altitude its goin to be hard.. but i want it to be somewhat obtainable...

i here it alot as well but i just like at people and all i think of is "you are fvcking retard and dont $hit about hyundai's"
that is why i love this car, it might not have alot of aftermarket support but we do what we got to do to bust another car ass at the track...

the only thing that I can see you gaining from buying a set of good internals (besides having a more bulletproof block) is that with the lower compression ratio, you can run a more aggressive timing on the engine with a lower boost level so you don't stress the turbo much.
