I just started up my car after swapping out a plate in the vortech fmu and tightening up the bolts inside of it a bit. They were loose and after calling up vortech it seemed like the proper thing to do. But now my fuel pump is whining.

my question is do you think it's going out or that the vortech's completely blocking the line now??

nah it's a gsx pump. I'm not sure what it's doing. I'll hook up the wideband tomorrow and see if it's running super rich now or something.

Higher flowing pumps whine more. Especially on a low tank of gas.

huh, but I thought being a stock pump it wouldn't do that. and it hadn't whined up until this point. had it in there for months.

and yes it is low.

you gotta use the stock hyundai sock to prevent fuel slosh from starving your pump during cornering at lower then 1/4 tank... also they are gonna whine how do u think its moving more gas?
