Default Fuel mgmt?

I just picked up my 14b turbo for my turbo project. Anyways i had i fuel mgmt question, i am looking at the apexi safc and the greddy e-manage. The digital screen on the apexi is really cool, but it is more expensive than the e-manage (here in ontario.) Asides from looks and $, which is infact a better unit? I will quickly go through my setup, to make things easier. mitsu 14b turbo(ported wastgate and exhaust housing), 1g dsm exhaust manifold, rc eng 440cc injectors, walbro 255, and most likely an aem fpr. thanks.

well, the emanage does control timing, but you need to buy the injector harness and the support tool software to adjust timing. the harness is like $35, and i've seen the software on ebay for around $100, but most places sell it for about $120. another good thing about the emanage is that it can also control boost. if you buy the e-01 boost controller, the emanage has a port to plug it in, and the two units work together. you'd be the first to use the emanage on a tib. i was going to use it, but i scrapped that plan because i'm just gonna go haltech. greddy doesn't support the emanage on tibs. shadohh and i believe it is a universal unit, but greddy just doesn't have official settings for it. i got some faxes from greddy with generic or possibly "universal" settings for each of the switches on the emanage, so there's no reason why it wouludn't work. i'm trying to get rid of mine, so i'll email ya.

Can someone explain the mafs to map swap.I.e parts, steps, benefits, ect. Does the safc benefit from an maf or will it only work with a stand alone unit? Also will i need to get an msd. or is it not necessary? I will be running 8lbs on the street and maybe try 10-12 once or twice at the track.

Beta2 ECU
Beta2 Intake manifold
Beta2 Throttle Body
Beta2 Intake Air Bypass
Beta2 Fuel pump
Beta2 fuel rail (returnless)
Beta2 injectors (185cc vs 245cc for beta1)
Related wiring.

Steps:
remove above beta1 parts, install above beta2 parts. Rewire.

Benefits:
None, other than removing the MAF.

Downsides:
You just lost about 30-50WHP in capability due to the smaller injectors.

Now, converting over to a STAND ALONE MAP based system has some benefits, but you didn't ask about that.
