Shaft play is bad to a point. From what iv read, for optimal performance you want a very small amount of shaft play. That way when the shaft heats up and expands a little bit, it can still spin very freely without any restrictions caused by its expansion.

also it depends on what kind of bearing u have in the center section. if its a dual ball bearing or ball bearing type, the shaft is going to be more solid and have next to none shaft play. in my case, on the t3 super 60 it has a 270deg thrust bearing, which is common for a little shaft play. less than 1mm. depends on your bearings in your center section..

wow i dont know jack from sh!t when it comes to turbos thats why I put it up there, didnt know whether it was a good buy or not, figured if i posted it you guys could tell, and i was right. thanks a lot - sorry for posting under the wrong category but i figured it was for sale, just not by me. - thanks for the warnings tho.
