Just need some answers before i buy and waste cash. so im saving up for the NGM Enforcer kit, but i plan on grabbing a FMIC for the enforcer setup but my question is would a FMIC be as effective on supercharger as it is on a turbo kit?

i know the enforcer stg 2 comes with a heat exchanger and ice box setup but i did some measurements and that wont fit, not enough room in front of radiator. So i was thinking of getting a FMIC and routing some piping to the intake .

any thoughts will be helpful thanks

The NGM Enforcer might not fit anyway (thick pulleys might not fit, plus less space to firewall). Usually, a centrifugal s/c works nicely with an air-to-air IC, no idea why we have no kits like that..

I'd imagine the piping would be a royal PITA to go from that supercharger, to a FMIC, and back.

Why not liquid cool it? Doesn't NGM offer an option for that? Isn't a Air to Water cooler more efficient?

i would liquid cool it but from what i can see there isnt enough room to fit the kit because of the hood latch and bumper support. So i was thinking of putting a FMIC with a good air filter on 1 end then routing the pipping up to the intake. So basically i guess it would be a cold air intake kinda but with a intercooler before the supercharger itself.

so confused...

and explain.. how would you air/air cool a roots S/C on a beta.... and even attempt to route piping LOL

and how would the bumper support or hood latch have anything to do with getting an IC in there...

if you have an intercooler before a roots charger.. your not doing anything... lol since the charged air isnt being cooled at all...

do lots more research before thinking about this further... the 'intercooler' setup your talking about would just be a waste of money, and people that knew what they were looking at would laugh at you..

liquid cooling a roots charger is about the only way to go.

i totally get what a FMIC does for a turbo setup but was thinkin that i could get a colder air from using the intercooler like a CAI.

As for fitment i meant that the liquid cool kit that comes from NGM doesnt fit the RD tiburon because there is too much stuff to cram in front of the radiator not enough room.
i guess i will have to find a custom liquid cool kit and build from there

no, the intercooler will do more harm than good... itll be more of a restriction on the flow than anything.. just get an AEM CAI and itll be your best bet for 'intake air' on a roots kit, and go with a water/air core like the NGM kit uses. just use the IM/SC setup and built the rest of the kit (radiator, lines, reservoir) yourself.. easy as pie..

the only worry about the NGM kit is the IM/SC unit fitting.

how do you KNOW there isnt enough room?

why dont you turbo instead of supercharge?

^^+1. If your really worried about the aem not supplying enough cold air, make an intake pipe yourself and put it wherever you want.

Not trying to persuade you to go a different route, but roots style s/c are pretty much for v blocks. Or atleast that where you'll see real power gains from.

You might see 50whp with this kit, but thats also on top of the tuning that you need to provide yourself. The best thing to do with a 4 cylinder is a turbo hands down, but to each his own.

Good Luck fing02.gif

I see where you are going, and why you THINK it would do something, but you are trying to cool uncompressed air, of which I don't think you are going to get cooler (basically you are trying to cool air in the intake that is the same temperature as the air you are trying to cool it with...).

The forums over there have told you the same thing.

Look at the description of his kit, and the pictures.

Now, I do NOT see the front mount Ice Box kit for the Enforcer listed on his site though...

I stole that image from a thread they directed you to look at.

cool thanks for info.....it has only been used on 03 and up tibs and they have more space to fit it. from the pics i've saw and measurements i've taken, on my car just doesnt add up. Always worth a shot tho.

I get what you mean i was just throwing something out there before i did anything, now got to see what i can find to put together a water to air kit then. the DIY they linked me helps a lot too
