Default Finally got my new Turbo

Hi Everyone need some advice before I mess up this installation again. I'm still trying to water proof my FIC on a enclosure box thanks to Socks for the Idea. This is my second brand new Garrett the new one is .63AR turbine housing because this is the size Garrett have suggested instead of the.43ar. Currently my car is running very good no CEL, driving and shifting pretty well, I dont see any oil around the engine like before probably drove the car about 1000 miles.

New Garrett Turbo:

I also have newer pan installed:

I was thinking to look for a shop who knows how to check the back pressure of the exhaust. With the new setup I no longer going to have an oil Cooler, Oil feed is from the block no more sandwich setup.

Yea, No shop can really cheeck back pressure, also there are people out there running complete stock exhaust on a turbo setup, they just dont get the full power out of there turbo, and will spool much slower!

Also sounds to be good, and seems clean to, so looks to be turbo ready, also you need to get your water proof box setup and reTurbo your setup man.

I am doing the E85 swap now, and with the AirRam I am in need of a Tune, i suggest you get a Professional tune from the get go!

Any shop should be able to check back pressure.

All you do is hook up a pressure gauge, with the correct adapter, to the downstream O2 bung after removing the sensor. You could probably do it in your driveway if you have the correct adapter.

Good to see you haven't given up after all your troubles

really don't think you have to even consider back pressure being a problem

The guys from Garrett who inspected my old turbo said something about discoloration in the turbine, that's why he said to check the backpressure of the exhaust. I notice that with my manifold the turbo is too close too the exhaust opening of the engine. Must be too hot that caused the discoloration in the turbine?

I have seen discoloration from exhaust leaking right at the DP! Yet, your exhaust should flow plenty for the turbo, you got a 2.5" with a high flow cat and a muffler.

If your worried got complety straight pipe like me!!!
