Look there. I would start off with a cold air intake..AEM is the best. Then get an exhaust. Do a search, REDZ just posted a list of exhausts available for our cars.

start off with stage 1 mods. that's what i'm doing. AEM cold air intake, throttle body, headers, exhaust, cams, sprockets, engine hoses, air ram...etc. all are mid-range expensive. the cheapest and easiest is the intake however why have an intake with nothing to go with it?

the only way to seriously get some horses out of your pocket is a big ol' turbo kit. speed-factor has them i believe for $2000. less from a group buy i know. but from this post, you might not be ready for a turbo just yet--might blow your engine.

my advice is to check the topics on the engine/performance topics.

QUOTE (CyberShark)
www.kspeck.com look there. A good place to start off with is to replace the stock air intake. It's restrictive and sits on top of the radiator..a bad place to be..An AEM cold air intake is the best one available. Second, go with the exhaust..there's not too many aftermarket madrel bent exhaust available (if you do a search, REDZ just listed a few) or go with a custom exhaust with an aftermarket muffler. The stock muffler to way too large and heavy. This is probably one of the best ways to start...Good luck

if you have an auto... all your dreams are shattered till you do a manual swap. the auto tranny wont hold that much power. so start there smile.gif
you can however get away with the basic NA bolt ons with the auto tranny. but if you want to boost you'll need the swap.
you will find kspec and real-engineering as the best companies to go with

Default Re: Light Turbo on stock fuel supply?

a CAI doesnt work with a turbo or supercharger.. maybe the filter off of it will work with the custom intake you'll have to design smile.gif

however if you get a CAI then you can get up to 15bhp i think.

^^

Word.

First off, get rid of your stock intake.

Then get a CAI.

Then get a BBTB, and swap your auto to manual.
