as of today i installed the turbo and managed to squeeze the downpipe with out modifying it. a couple bangs to the crank case did the job. lmao.gif

What aftermarket downpipe is that??? Looks like it's lining up REALLY well under there. What did you have to hammer in, the oil pan?!?! LOL!!

yes, i hammered the oil pan a lil. the downpipe im using it has a flex pipe and the welds where hitting the oil pan. i think everyone here agrees on how shitty chinese knockoff parts fit.

extra flange between diffuser and DP = w00t no hitting oil pan then.. tongue.gif

you should get the next portion of the exhaust and see how well it fits up.

hmmmm

looks like this might work mostly, but it would prob have to go under the fuel tank, haha.

SOCKS, that's why I said a couple days ago that I was going to mod the DP to make it fit. but today I was like, eff it! where's the hammer! lmao.gif this IS going to fit!!! haha.gif

I was looking for the evo exhaust mid pipe but i couldn't find it by it self, just the whole exhaust.

SOCKS - an extra flange is a GREAT idea!!! Thats going in my notes.

You can pick up "cheap" aftermarket exhaust for the evo for HELLA cheap:

EVO Catback

Besides the whole gas tank thing, that might be a good alternative. I cant seem to recall the Tibby catbacks that were under the axle. Couldn't this work the in the same way?

EDIT:

Better yet, you could do a little cutting and re-flanging and flip that tail piece around. Might have a chance to get around the fuel tank then:

Original EVO catback:

Modified EVO Catback (with my mad photo-chop skillz!)
