^^ I didn't realize he was turbocharged. Yesterday that graphic in his signature was not comming up. I thought he was N/A. It's just an extra gauge in a N/A car.

You don't want to exceed temps of 1400 or you will have a danger to your manifold.

I wouldn't go over 900 but that is just me....

^^ Dunno, but mine burned paint rated at 1200F, with cold air intake and headers. Not using nitrous.

Click here. I followed directions. The paint has completely flaked off certain parts of my header. http://www.plastikote.com/plastikote/auto/...roduct=HotPaint

VHT is not the only brand. This stuff is meant to be sprayed on and cured by the heat from the headers. It's meant to withstand temps up to 1500 for a short period. I think I read on the can itself that it can withstand temps of 1200.

When I read the directions I was like HECK YEAH!!! this stuff sounds simple. But it did not work.

  • CURING: Allow 60 minutes airdry then cure by baking for 60 minutes at 600°F (316°C) in a non-household oven, or by operating the vehicle's engine for 60 minutes. Curing must be done within 8 hours of application.

  • I consider myself to have more then mastered the art of the spray can. I've got alot of spraycan experience and it always turns out well, except for this stuff.

I'm going to have to get some of that VHT before NOPI.
