Shark Racing is currently looking into carring the Alpine developments Turbo and Supercharger.

I don't know of anyone that carries the eaton unit for the 2.0L beta anymore.

Your best bets are CAPA, Rimmer, and Alpine.

Rimmer supercharger is rated at 180 hp. I dont know CAPA. You will get better perfromance out of an intercooled turbo system than supercharching for about the same price. Check Alpine, dont know if the already have a MAFS system. I think they do because ther extra fueling box is able to pick up air flow for fueling mapping. In the MAPS system the just pick up rpm and intake manifold pressure to build their fifth injector mapping.

Has anyone experimented with a centrifugal supercharger on the Beta engines?

Also, if SR.com is going to sell the Alpine kits; will you guys sell a more 'complete' kit.

No, SR is not going to carry the Alpine Kits. After the experience with the Turbo and Superchargers...heck no.

For a supercharger kit, I would only reccomend the CAPA unit (twin screw supercharger).
www.capa.com.au

The only reason I reccomend it, is that the eaton based roots units have shown poor gains on the Tibbies. The TwinScrew Autorotor unit has some inherent advantages over the roots based eaton unit.

I suggest you pick up *SUPERCHARGED* by Corkey Bell if you are seriously considering a supercharger.

I just relized that Random's post was from over a year ago. I was wondering *why the hell would they sell Alpine kits? especially an S/C for the beta?!?*. It all makes sense now... heh

Ahhh Shoot!
Yeah you're right,... that was from Last year,... i saw the month and day, but didn't realize the year!
Gessh, what a old topic smile.gif

It got me wondering there, cuz one of the local guys just got an Alpine super, and have been having problems, and thanks to Random's help, it's running as best as it can, not worth the money, but Random's support helped a hellava lot!

And it kinda confused me when I read that SR will be carrying Alpine,.. .and I was like *WHAT!*
But it's good that dopeskills had pointed that out. smile.gif
