Well yesterday I was driving along. Boost was working fine then when I step on it nothing... I'm thinking crap! blew another coupler off. Then I realized I didn't hear the usual rushing when the car should have been producing boost. Immediately I start thinking of the million things that could have blow up.

Well after further investigation I realized it was just that the acutator rod had fallen off the wastegate. I went to autozone looking for a new "c clip" for my wastegate. They said it must be a dealer part. Well after checking out the section with all the clips and other odds and ends I found a box of e clips. Apparently the actual name for that clip.

So just in case this ever happens to you, look for e clips. smile.gif

 

E clips are awesome. that's what I use on my shifter lever to hold the cable on.
