For these who still hasitate, I double checked all the part numbers posted above (since I have it all in my room HEHE) and it's all correct...

I am also awaiting your DIY or atleast pics of the process, to see whats ahead of me.

Is it a hard install? how much do you pick into the tranny?

Im pretty sure you need to pull reverse and a couple other gears to install it. just be careful and make sure theres no extra parts. i know when i do mine im probably replacing everything in the tranny. sounds like a tough install to do by yourself but im confident i can do it with a little help

OK I guess that would be a yes to a how to/DIY! I will see if I can get this typed up this weekend. When mine was installed I had the benefit of a former Hyundai tech doing it, I was there to help and learn as much as I could. Of course take some pics as well, we had the LSD, new clutch and new fidanza flywheel installed and operational in like 6 hrs with a break for lunch and beers LOL.

I purchased my Quaife through speedmotion.com, not sure if many of you would remember that site, they were associatied with Kore somehow. Redz would or some of the other old school guys on here would probably know the history better. At that time I purchased it for $900US, pretty good deal. It was one of the first Quaife diffs ever imported into Canada for a Hyundai. To get ahold of one now djalkyd can hook people up.

ok, so that looks most like the part number for the AWD turbo front lsd. a DIY would be awesome man. what i'll do is sticky this thread in here. you can then post a DIY in the diy forum and that will get put in the DIY listing as well, with a link to it in this thread.

Well looks like I won't need to write up a DIY after all, good job! That is more detailed than what I would have been able to write up as mine has been installed for like 2 years now. I really can't remember alot of the small details anymore.

Here are links to Hyundai training videos used to train their techs on complete assembly and dissasembly of the 5 speed manual transmission.

Disassembly

Assembly

Can't have a much better video on how to take the tranny apart! Gotta love Google!
