Has anyone seen or tried to cut the stock exhaust manifold and weld a turbo flange on it ? I was thinking about doing this and welding a 14b turbo flange on it for my project , and was looking for some insight or a picture into this method. THanks

The key is to heat the manifold before tig welding (GTAW), and to use a high nickel filler rod.

If you don't heat the cast piece first it will crack.

Well a Turbo system is defiantly something you don't want to nickel and dime. I have been there and done it all and you don't want to skimp on a turbo setup.

Not really nickle and diming it. Just figured that using the stock exhaust and moddin it would be just as good as obx( without the looks ). Just lookin into all my options.

How much would I be able to get a custom manifold built for a 14b ?
