I was so piised off last night when i Dynoyed my car...I had to bump up the boost just to amke it clsoe to the 300WHP mark..
I installed the new BB GT30R71E Turbo and had some crappy numbers. The car was tunned but not 100% because i was pissed off at the results i got......
When i had my Super 60 i had 258WHP and 270 Torque...at 16psi
When i ran it with my new BB Turbo is was like 260WHP which i was surprised with since this turbo flows over 600CFm as the Super 60 was like 350CFM...
Anyways on the wideband analizer my Air Flow on the car was MAXED out throughout the run and hit like 0.2% and to 0.1%..
THis airflow was eaten from the beginning and this is the raeson for the Crappy numbers i got.
Im clsoe to like 20psi with like 280WHP and 300 Toque to the wheels.
Like i said it was tunned about 95% and possibly could squeeze another 10-15WHP but at 20 psi i should be about 330WHP +
The head is Fully ported and polished as well as the CC opened up but im running stock valves and cams.
Im thinking of changing my cams and getting larger Ferrera Valves to let more AIRFLOW and get the real numbers i deserve at 20psi... mad.gif

Looks like you hit a 'plateau' with the stock items. Until you change those valves and cams, you probably won't see anymore power gains.

Go pay Airborne a visit and get some of his cams. Since the cams + ECU is like 1200, I'm sure without the ECU included they are much cheaper than KSpec's cams.

And to think Viper just sold his high SR cams a few days before you find out you need em. tongue.gif

My motor is Fully built internally with Weisco forged piston 8.7:1 ,Paurter Rods and balanced and Blue printed.
As i said the Cams and valves are the ONLY two things holding me back and i think this is the problem because the turbo is NOT the cause ...
.....
Also i am running a full stand alone HAltech system with Airram IM and 70mm TB
Just wondering if anyone is running into the same problem as i am!! 02.gif
Also what size cams would be best?I was thinking 272 with a 9.5mm Lift.I dont want the lift to high or will cause overlap...
Would the SR or HVE be best option? cool.gif

Stock head is fine man. Porting it doesn't do a whole lot. Won't see much difference until your like 400whp+

I have a stock head and running at 1.1 bar I put down 300whp and 315tq

Chances are it's your tune. Spark timing affects power BIGTIME.

Yep I would say its tuning too. I have a ported and polished head with knife edged intake ports and it flow decent but no where near a honda head. When I was running 20lbs decently tuned I was doing well over 300hp to the wheels so i dont see why your having problems. Make sure your not running to rich you want to be around 12-13:1 on average for 10psi and up. Dont use a restrictive pipe will hurt performance greatly also check your manifold design with that turbo it could be getting maxed out the super 60 is only good for like 300 sumthing hp depending on your combination. Intercooler can also play a serious roll as Intake temps could be causing you to have to run such rich AF to keep from detonating or pulling out bunches of timing. Anyway good luck.
