Ok here i go building a Intake manifold now 304 stainless steel with a 70mm throttle body off a ford mustang. I was just wondering is there anything besides the basics for turbo intake manifolds like large pleunum (mines 6"dia) 1.5"id runners, those little tapered cones on top of the runners inside the plenum kinda like a turbo inlet.

Basicaly is there any good info out there for building one? i kinda already have mine set in stone im just working on it now but i am interested if there is?

Its possibley i might build these for sale in the near future just a possibility though. I will get some pics up in the next day or so.

Dude, I was just about to ask you how you were doing on these cause I'd be interested.

Try searching for the manifolds off the DSM's. The EVO has a lot from different manufacturers. Just do a google search for EVO manifolds. And then basically copy them. You might want to email/call the manufacturer and ask them why they made it the way they did. I'm sure they'll tell you and explain the benefits of it.
Pretend you have an EVO. wink1.gif

SEARCH for Faith's thread where he was talking about making an intake... Someone posted a good link in that thread.

Ok ehre is kinda my idea on what im doing. Everything is just really rough tacked together so pay no attention to the roughness of it. The flange is not finished just roughed again so it will be more shaplier.

The shorter the runners the better..

Long runners are for NA applications.. shorter ones are more set for turbos.

Make them short and straight. That's what you want for turbo, and it alows you to use the firewall for mounting more items. Leaves more space behind it.

Go with the Magnus design
