hey. what does it mean if oil is leaking out of the compressor side right where it connects to exhaust side?

It means that your turbo oil seal is broken and you have to get your turbo rebuilt or even replaced.

btw, you are getting it mixed up... the compressor or cold side is the side where the intake pipe and charge/intercooler pipe(s) connects to and the exhaust or hot side is where the turbo manifold and the downpipe is connected

no i have it right. the silver side is the compressor side and thats where it is leaking. I used castrol gtx and it was doing fine. i then put in a hlaf bottle of sea foam about a week ago and this was my first time starting it since then. now it leaks out of the compressor side. could it be that the oil is too thin because of the sea foam? also i have no restrictor on the feed line. could this be the problem too. i have a 14b turbo by the way.

my feed line is coming from a sandwich plate on the oil filter. the turbo is smoking slightly probably becuz of the leaking oil. is there a way to seal it from the outside so i dont have to take the turbo all apart?

Yeah if you have no restrictor on that bish then you know why your turbo's leaking oil, seals = fuxored

i drained all the oil out of the car, and put just oil back in with no seafoam. it seems to be fine now. its not leaking anymore. the seafoam must have thinned out the oil so much that it was passing the turbo seals. ill check it out more thoroughly tomorrow to see if its really fixed.
