Ok I want this to happen. it will happen. say good bye to dual injector, haltech, alpine, piggyback, systems..

Me and a mapping expert want to come to the states and program teach and setup. any and all Hyundai. we have the means to do this. say you setup your car for for a turbo we will take care of the ecu programing and ecu swap.. now this is a feeler. we would need people who are committed on this. we are not going to fly half way around the world and have some one back out.. these is what we will provide..

1. MAF to MAP conversion.
2.dyno/ street mapping
3.initial setup= we tell you what you need to do and you get it done. we take car of the rest.
4. all part will come from korea pre order to your spec. no super mark up in price.. aka no SFR shit.

In a nutshell, you get your car set up. we make it run..

We have yet to decide where we will setup base camp but i would like to hit AZ. east cost and west coast as well..
The is no reason you guys should spend 5 grand for a turbo and only get a extra 100hp when you can spend the same amount and get 450hp or more.. for the last 5 years i have watch you guys and now its time to make the move.. i am looking for 10 to 20 people. you can be from rdt or any other Hyundai site.. i need to know what you want and how your going to drive it. from that then we will make our choice on what hardware you need. the only software you need is the SAM2000 ecu.. AKA XD,GK OEM ECU.

FYI my ecu is a sam2000 and i am currently runing it 1000cc injector on the street and it is a daily drive.. get the picture..

While it's all a nice idea bro, and I will support you as much as I can, these systems will never go away.

Why?

Well, because we can tune our own shit with them, as often as we want. With a ecu, even swapped to the SAM one, how do we reflash it when we upgrade, downgrade, or want different tunes?

That's the problem.

It's easy over there because so many folks around that country can do this work for you, here though, it'll be Mad John visiting once a year if that. And if not, they have to send their ECUs to you, to be tuned OFF of the car. Also not good.

Keep the ideas coming though man.

What we need is the software to do these reflashes to make its way over here. I'm with Redz, I'm not going to get my car tuned once and then if I ever want to make a change I have to send it away to get reprogrammed, and potentially be off. I know that you guys probably do alot of cars but every single car you do is different. You can get it close but not perfect unless you have the car with you.

I am going to bring the reflash program and teach people how to use it.. to run the ecu flash program you need only a IBM T21 thinkpad. and the interface.... I am think of teaching red. and froggy and eric.java as well

that is why you come to us when we get there.. there is no upgrades dowload or shit like that.. its a one time deal. we even have the means for you to run 3 diffrents maps.. DD/Street/Drag...

I think its a great idea but sadly I believe there may be to many pitfalls for it to work well. I do think if you could start getting some k-spec parts over state side that would be great. SFR charges an arm and a leg for anything that they have new or used. And I am sure the after market support is greater in your area.

All of those people are no where near me so that doesn't help me. Thats the point I was getting at, you can tune it once, at that moment in time. If I change something, the tune will be off and thats where the "problem" starts with me. I appreciate what you're trying to do here, its great that someone actually wants to bring us new stuff and teach others; it really is. But, until its READILY available its going to be a hard sell for the more knowledgable folks since the majority of us are DIY'ers. I'm sure alot of us would pay for the actual software and interface so that we can do it whenever we want but as far as giving it to a select few and hoping that some of us are close enough to utilize it... well... thats a real long shot.

P.S: if you want to give it to someone on the east coast I volunteer!! laugh.gif
