how do most people create these? would a normal pipe expander work fine? i was also thinking that you can just build up some excess weld around the ends.

You could build up weld, but with T-bolt clamps you wont have to worry about them

the thing tim has is what works best.. a bead of weld would be a lil sloppy, lol.. tbolt clamps are good and all, but this would be a FOR SURE way that it will never slip off.. i was thinking about just keeping my reg hose clamps and using the system where you put two tabs on the pipes, and throw a bolt in there so it will NEVER EVER come off.. but i duno, i havent reached a psi, and my car is still gay right now so i havent really tested out the regular hose clamps.

the bead roller is very expensive, and wont be worth it unless your building charge pipes for numerous people.. i would just get tbolt clamps if your worried about it, to use the bolt idea that i said.

pipe expanders are cheap though, only like 15 bucks. im just not so sure it would work well on the last centimeter or so of aluminum piping. not sure if it would crack it or not.

or maybe i would just send my pre-fabbed piping to tim to get that done.

I wouldn't try using a pipe expander and just doing the end, then you'll end up with cut up couplers

They have a couple good suggestions on there but I'm yet to have a coupler pop off using t-bolts. I might have more trouble when i get up to 10 or 12 psi (maeir hurry up with my fpr! smile.gif ) but I'm good right now.

hmmm...

the epoxy idea is interesting. i think i would be hesitant trusting it not to break off though.
