In regards to the limits of stock parts, what will I need to upgrade? I have a 2000 Elantra (automatic) and so far am getting:
-CNK's turbo kit
-CNK's radiator (upcoming)
-CNK's fuel management system (upcoming)
-Level Ten's upgraded torque converter
-FlexLite fans

The levelten torque convertor, wont save your transmission from the abuse of turbo power.
It will just give you a more responsive automatic.
You really need to take it to a shop and get it built for such.
It will needs things like new clutch rings, for the automatic to handle the power.
Same idea as upgrading the clutch disc in a manual.

How much will this cost in parts and possibly labor? I have not taken the transmission class yet, but if I do before I decide to get it done then I will do it myself. Thanks for the heads up.
Also will cams increase the performance? Will a lightweight aluminum pulley's be worth it? Is it a good idea?

I would stay away from the Light weight crank pulley.
instead get the fidanza lightweight flywheel.
levelten I think chagres $3500 for a 300whp guaranteed automatic transmission.
someone else got it don by a shop for $2700 but they got ****ed over.
The thing shifts so hard the car jerks in eveyr gear. and The thing died anyway. And he never got the turbo on. heh
cams will increase N/A power.
But as for the moment use sock cams for a turbo setup.
You dont wana use N/A cams in a turbo setup.

Depending on the amount of boost, the stock cams and flywheel should be fine.
Low to medium (under 14 psi) should be fine with our cam openings and you don't want to mess with the crank pully if you don't have to. We've argued this before, but it does dampen some harmonics in the engine and running a lot more horesepower with a lightened one can cause crank bearing damage. The flywheel is usually okay for low N/A mods, but for turbo, I'd stick with the stocker, unless you're going for extreme mad boost levels, in which case you'll probably need a complete custom job.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought some Koreans are running 300+ hp on the stock crank and flywheel.
As for the Automatic, can't help you there, although I have heard good things about Level 10.
good luck,
AC
