Just a quick question, searched and failed.

Can anyone recomend a good BOV to me?

Also, what makes 1 better than the other?

thanks

Greddy and HKS are good brand, but might be pricey.

Difference between knock-offs and real BOVs is the name and a bit of quality. Brand name one will probably hold more boost as well as respond faster smile.gif

I recommend 1G DSM blow-off valves. Hold near 20PSI, somewhere around that. 2G DSM blow-off valves hold around 14-15PSI and don't have as nice of a sound.

The HKS ones (Tim's website [speed-factor.com]) are also very nice. Generally anything recirculating is good.

Doubt about 30 PSI man. Loudness depends on your boost level!

haha, I just searched on another forum about this, and guess what I found out:

The Greddy Sype-S KNOCKOFF from ebay is the best.

Somthing as a bov isnt too hard to replicate, this actually soiunds better than the authentic Greddy BOV! (plus it still holds boost good and doesnt leak barelly any at idle)

Fake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33742

But for only $49 more I can get an authentic one.

The noise depends on the PSI your running and lots of other factors. Your results may differ. Either way, get an external wastegate... there is nothing like flooring it and hearing it scream all the way down the highway. wink1.gif

I guess I'm backwards... I upgraded mine and made sure I got a Recirculating valve... Keeps it quiet and stealthy, but when I lay into it it sounds really gooooooood.
