I have that problem with the 255, the problem is that I used the filter that came with it instead of reusing the stock filter (little thing on the end of the pump). If you reuse stock one, you should be good, pump looks otherwise identical to stock.

For an aftermarket FPR you need to do some light modding on your rail and get some lines. Nate (SOCKS) can sell you a kit that bolts on directly. An aftermarket FPR would increase fuel pressure with boost (most are 1:1, rising rate are more), i don't know if the stock FPR would do that.

 

So if I use the stock fuel filter,(new one preferably since im down there) then I shouldn't have that problem? Can anyone else verify that? Radu, when do you start to suck air with the 255? Ive read around here somewhere that the stock fpr is like 1:1. Im pretty sure on that. Because ppl were trying to mod boosted dsm fpr's to fit the tibby and then figured out that they have the same ratio as the stock tibby one. LOL.

 

dont think the stock FPR will suffice well at 10-12psi and upgraded pump..

i offer a real good deal on a bolt-in FPR bolt in kit.

or even cheaper kits if you want to do the rail tapping yourself and such
