Alright guys!
I'm running T3 super 60 with SMT6 + secondary injectors.
I noticed today that while I was in the first gear and accelerating, i don't have any boost.
when i am sitting in the parking lot and reving, i don't have any boost. the boost gauge doesn't go beyond "0".
I only get boost while I am driving with 2, 3, 4, and 5th gear.
I'm running rich because my smt6 is not tuned yet.
what do you guys think?

my boost is steady.
my actuator is set to 9.5 psi, and my max boost was around between 8 and 9 psi.
I haven't checked the boost at each gear, but in the 3rd gear, i was able to reach the max boost.

Youll never get boost in neutral. Youll build a bit of pressure (compared to 20 inhg vacuum) and will be able to vent your BOV by revving, but it wont be any boost.
Some cars you might make a couple pounds of boost in first but chances are in our cars you wont unless you get different (longer) gears or run a tiny turbo.
Our first gear is so short (even for an N/A car) that you blow right through it so fast the turbo never gets a chance to boost, which is the same reason you dont get boost in neutral. Besides the turbo and the gears the only other thing you could do to build up the boost in first is not run an IC and real short piping, that might get you a few pounds in first
I never got anything over a pound or so of boost in first with my T3 and i definatly dont get it with my T3/T4, and i know i dont have any vacuum leaks or an inefficient FMIC.
So dont worry fing02.gif

actually, now that i think of it.. i duno how much, if any boost i build in first, the tires just spin when i romp it, and i dont really open up the throttle in first gear for that reason.. but you SHOULD be able to build full boost in second.. i can.

oh i c
thanx guys!
one more question!
whenever i rev the engine in a neutral gear, i don't hear any BOV venting sound.
Is that because my BOV set too hard? I'm using a Greddy Type RS BOV.
let me know.

recirculated or venting to atmosphere? if its vented to atmosphere you should be able to hear it, if its set too hard maybe you wont hear much but you should hear a little
If its recirculated you wont hear much of anything.
