I am planning on turbocharging my car in the future, and a thought popped into my head yesterday after watching some turbo Hyundai vids on youtube. I know when you shift on a M/T, when you let off the gas, that is when the BOV releases the built up pressure. On an A/T, how exactly would the BOV work then?

 

When you let off the gas, same as with a manual. Only you won't have to do that when shifting with an auto.
