Y'all remember that sweet tib.
Alright 1st Question, Eagle Talons TSI, Mitsubishi Eclipses GSX, Mitsu Evo's and Plymouth Lasers. Im pretty sure have all of the same drivetrain and motor, right? (4G63T) Just some differences?
Quest #2: http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/fo...ic.php?t=60794 - Would the 4G63T motor be easy to swap into a tib? Besides the Drivetrain and ECU. Or would I have to make new motor mounts to fit it into the tiburon?
The reason why I ask is that I am trying to hunt down a $300 dollar Talon TSI (Blown Motor) thats supposedly here in Bemidji. Then I remembered that '97 tiburon and thought "I should to attempt something like that".

Do some research, this has been talked about a lot. It's only a direct swap with the older elantras (early 90s). It will require extensive work with mounting and tuning. Why are you trying to do it anyways? Our engines have just as much potential as the 4G63T. You're better off turboing you're own engin.

I tried some research, search said it was always busy.
Why am I trying to do this, ummmm maye its because of the AWD, But since you said our motor has more potential I might just stick with the Beta, Make my self a 450+ hp monster of a car. I'll think about it.

Of course its because of the AWD. Thats the reason I still am thinking about doing it someday. an AWD drive Tiburon with some decent work done and some performance mods. Ya think that would get you into a few magazines? HELL YA. its jsut the money and amount of work that is required to pull it off. if you can fab up some of your own mounts and stuff youll be a lot better off. And i dont know if the tsi would work as good as the evo parts. im sure there are differences in wheel base and things like that making it more difficult to fit onto the Tib

Yes, but who's gonna spend $10,000+ on fabrication for the AWD swap and the then another $10,000+ to get it to 450hp. I guess we can always dream

I doubt it would cost that much. Evo parts are easy to get because they are so popular and what it really comes down to is if you have the knowledge to do most of it yourself and what you can get the wrecked evo for

I would say less than $5k to get an AWD system going. But it would take a tremendous amount of planning, research, measuring, WORK, etc.

it's been discussed a little while ago. I think in this section as well. There was a lot of good information in that thread, so don't be lazy and try to find it smile.gif
