Default auto turbo?

Should I do a auto 2 manual swap before going turbo? Can my auto take the power of the turbo or will it kill my tranny?

well, the auto wont die right away. but it will.

especially if you go over 180whp.

So the question is, you wanna do the swap now or later.

either that, or have level 10 beef up the auto. i think it's like $2500 for the service, and it's guaranteed to like 350hp you'll also wanna get a better a/t oil cooler than the stock unit.

I would deffinitely go with the manual swap. Look at it this way. You'd have to get your auto pulled and then spend $2500 on getting it reenforced but you'd still have an auto (I don't like autos all too much). For probably less than that you can get a used tranny, rebuild it, get a better clutch and flywheel, and probably have a few hundred bucks left over provided you did the work yourself. 5-speeds are just more fun to drive. I say swap em'!
