Alpine Turbo ordering
ARGH!! I'm so po'd. I've been *trying* to order my turbo for 2weeks...sent Gavin emails and finally faxed him my credit card number. Now he says that his bank needs my passport number and details!!? I don't have a passport! I'm not leaving the country...their turbo is!!
Anyone who's ordered one have any problems?
(sorry if this is considered off-topic)

Needless to say, I have had no problems.
I HIGHLY reccomend you call Gavin. A $10 phone call to South Africa would save you alot in headaches...

I'm going to be in the same boat. I can't pass up this offer. I was hoping to do a turbo next summer, but if I have to get it early . . .
I e-mailed them and it seems the price is good through mid-August, so I'm going to try and line up some money and order August 1.
Oh well, no big brake kit for me . . . or headers.
skilspeed,
let us know how it goes.

I'll keep yall posted and let you know what info they need so it's as painless as possible for you. laterz

One thing it could have been (I've seen this happen before) is that the credit card company rejects an order. This is especially true if you spend, say, $300 a month, always around your home and then one day order a $2000 purchase from S. Africa. That sends alarm bells off.
When I was in college, my card was declined trying to buy a $1k stereo component. My max spending at the time was only about $150 per month. I called the credit card company and told them it was a legit purchase and they noted it on my account. The next day the charge went through.
It might not be what happened in this case, but it's definitely something to consider.
good luck,
AC
