Airram vs no airraim
I know on the N/A betas, the Air Ram boosted power pretty good. Has anyone went boost on a factory intake and then added an Air Ram afterwards? How much of a difference did you notice?

I doubt there's a before and after dyno out there. In any case, I've not seen a single build that has needed the airram before another important item. One that always takes precedence is a built trans. It will break before making the power necessary for an airram.

Anything that increases air into and out of an engine will allow for more fuel to be burned and make more power. The question is one of priorities. I had one because I got it for a good price and it looked cool. My car was being built to promote a business, so looks mattered. For what they cost now, I wouldn't bother until your stock manifold becomes an actual problem.

with that said though I noticed a pretty good gain back in the day when I switched from the stock Beta 2 intake manifold and throttle body to the Air Ram with 65mm throttle body. I gained mostly in the torque area due to the increased runner length. But then again the Beta 2 intake manifold is HORRIBLE for air flow, not like the RD one which is actually pretty good and has lots of porting potential itself. Its why we used it on the race car I built the engine for.

Back on topic, Dave's right, the Airram, I believe is actually a great upgrade. The porting and trumpets INSIDE the Airram help equalize the airflow more evenly to all 4 cylinders, making the combustion more even across all 4 cylinders. Ie: having a rich cylinder and a lean cylinder that the OEM manifolds tend to do. As an NA mod, they help considerably. And honestly, I think its a great addition to a boosted motor as well. Love mine. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

There is a dude named Hector that had a boosted GK tiburon, he did a before and after. Hi picked up 40 HP at the same pressure rate after tuning.
