Airflow question
I have been pondering this idea for some time and want to ask the wizards for their input.
If I were to purposely run a smaller exhaust side on my turbo to get a quicker spool could I eliminate or decrease the high exhaust backpressure by using a larger external wastegate?

A larger wastegate would work, but are you sure you NEED it? Changing to the smaller A/R Exhaust side and then see if you've got problems. There's no point in investing the money in a new wastegate (external or internal) if it's not a problem.
