Just wondering what air/fuel ratio the boosted guys on this site are running on there motors and what boost/horse power you guys are running. I would like to see how far you guys are leaning the cars out.
Also what engine internals are you using.
My setup Speed-Factor extreme kit with a T3 super 60: Tigerlly Cast 8:5:1 pistons with stock rods.
11:1 Air fuel ratio @ 15-16 psi of Boost.

Well, when it stays where its supposed to be (its been bouncing lately ), its around 11.3:1 @ 17PSI daily, about the same @ 23PSI on race gas. This on a GSX though. I usually try and not lean the hell outta it... I do have a map for it if there is something major on the line and I'll run a little more power through it to make sure I win. wink1.gif

I'm running the Alpine kit @ 14psi and I'm keeping my A/F ratio at 12.3 - 12.5 and I'm having no problems with detonation, I'm running premuim(93 octane) gas and no timing retard at all, I even spray a 35 shot of nitrous into it once in a while and still get no detonation. I'm running the head spacer with stock pistons and rods and have been beating the hell out of it this way for about 40,000 miles and my car still runs great, compression test is right on the money and I'm no tlosing any oil yet.

Hey GAry!
With the 11:1 A/F ratio set up you have thats just about right. On a Boosted car you can lean to about 12:1 but i would play it safe with the set uyp you have..
Keep in mind when its cold outside the 11:1 ratio will defently benefit jsut in case you run Lean .....
Anyways with my Old setup with th eALpine kit i was running 12psi and running anywhere from 11.5:1 to 12.5:1
My Bottom end up to 4000rpms is at 12.5 and then Richens up to about 12-11.5:1 in the Top end till 7000Rpms
When i get my car in the next 3 weeks i will also stay within the same ratio
Hope thi shelps bro!

^^ Yep... you can lean it out a little more in the lower RPMs if you wanted to, not as bad as I have though. Before when I was running the stock ECU at 23PSI on the GSX, I was near 17:1 at 3500RPM... no pinging though, I don't know how LOL. Made for very fast highway passing in 5th gear. lol.gif I've got it down to 15:1 now, my dyno is the dyno post.
