Aftermarket Pistons
Planning on Boosting in the early spring and was curious about the pistons. I doubt I'll be boosting much more than 10PSI daily but just to be safe I was looking at aftermarket pistons.
I was thinking about 82mm Forged Aluminum to reduce compression to roughly 8.5:1.
I've heard people talk about Wiseco pistons and other ones too but I don't know too much about all the other ones. Any suggestions on what kind I should be looking at? What compression do they supply? Best deals out there?

you just missed the best deal.. real-engineering was running a group buy on the tigerlilly that were 8.5:1 for CHEAP.
Wiseco's are the best and are what are used in the 1000hp Axxis tiburon.
Ross also makes pistons for us as well.. but be prepared to spend like $650 for Ross or Wiseco, but I think you can get tigerlilly for cheaper but thye dont hold as much HP

The tigerlily pistons i beleive are not true forged pistons. I think i heard that omega from the UK makes those pistons and use a different cheaper forging process that makes them not as strong and doesnt have the heat properties that forged has. If you looking at this, i do have a set of ross pistons with rings and pins for sale on this forum. The tigerlilly wont support the horsepower that ROSS will.
yeah but read his post.. he wants to run 10psi. thats it. His stock pistons would work but he'd be safer running something a little lower compression. Thats why i recommend the tigerlilly which will easily support 350hp. And to get to that point you have to re-engineer your whole powertrain, fuel delivery and engine management. Ross/Wiseco do hold more power because they are forged where the tigerlilly I believe are U-Cast. Either way he wont break the tigerlilly before he breaks something else
He said he doesnt want to boost more than 10 psi daily, not 10 psi for the rest of his life. The setup i was gonna run was 12 daily and 22 at the track. Just wanted to let the guy know if he wanted to boost more than that at a track or something, its better to be safe than sorry.
But like I also said the Tigerlillys will hold up to more power than his stock rods, drivetrain, and engine management can support. But its up to him on how much he wants to spend. Unless he has dreams of a standalone, and and LSD then the more expensive pistons would be a waste of money.
