I finally lost compression in #3.
173 - 169 - 115 - 173
Chalk it up to the chitty stock ECU.

Oh well i guess you never figured out what was pulling mine and yours and some others car lean. Damn ECU
How much boost have you been running?
Time to build the motor and get standalone laugh.gif

I've been running 10psi almost the whole time and it was severely lean (20:1) a lot of the time. It was bound to happen. Frankly, I thought it would happen sooner, or right away.
Dmdicks got the Perfect Power PRS standalone working on his car. It's extremely cheap ($675) and he's gonna try and get us the wiring diagram and setup file.
As far as the motor, I'll either throw in another $300 stocker, or put Wisecos in the one I tore down. I'm still curious how much boost the stock motor can take on a GOOD tune.

What did you do to the Alpine kit to make it run lean?
Mine was always running horribly rich. When they TRIED to lean it out...this happened.
I'd be interested to see what you piston tops look like if you've been running that lean for that long....

Yeah me JON and few others with the RD2 tib's using the Safc and T4Tib who was using the emanage all had the same problem of the ECU pulling fuel out after awhile and no matter how much fuel we would try to add it just wouldn't richen up.
And yes we all checked are STFT AND LTFT. So much for piggy backs working on the rd-2 tibs. Between running lean and Maxing out the MAF's I am glad I went standalone.
I am know using the Haltech E6X.
