I've got a universal AEM fpr

Just wondering how you ran your feed line and out line to the fpr.

I went into American Speed and they recommended getting a new fuel rail and/or tapping the existing rail to thread the fpr into the rail.

If anybody has installed this, could you post up some pictures or descriptions of how you installed yours.

Thanks

I have been using the AEM FPR for past 3+ years with no issues.

Your going to have to remove your OEM FPR and Tape for a AN fitting and then run a stainless steel line to connect it.

Lots of pics on the this fourm of other users FPR setups search and you will fine.

You cannot mount the FPR on the stock rail. I've broken 3 rails with the weight. I had a rail made to do it. But you can mount the FPR on the firewall and run a line to it.

Gary- I've been searching and found lots of pics with fpr in them but none that are closeups of the fpr.

JonGTR- Thanks for letting me know not to mount on fuel rail. (I thought i read that before but wasn't sure.) I am confused on how to run the banjo bolt fuel line into the fpr.

Is there any solution to running the line from the fpr to rail other than tapping?

You take the stock hard line and banjo off the manifold. The put a barb fitting on the FPR. Slide a hose over the barb and back to the stock return hard line by the driver side.

take the rail to the machine shop and get it threaded/tapped matching to the fitting that you have decided to go with

(Forgot to post yesterday.)

Everything worked out well. I bought a 3/8 pipe thread tap and tapped the inside of the rail...Everything seems to be hooked up correctly, but we will see when I finally get to turn the car on.

Btw...I will be running 8 psi (on my turbo) and from the searching I have done it seems to be safe to leave the fuel pressure around 40-43psi. This is correct?
